Russia has significantly increased the scale and frequency of its shelling of the territory of Ukraine. While over the past month, the aggressor usually used 100-200 long-range drones for attacks, in recent days, Moscow has been carrying out massive combined strikes every day. This is happening against the background of the Kremlin’s statements about its readiness for the negotiation process and the end of the war.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past three days, Russian troops have been regularly shelling Ukrainian cities with missiles and drones. Thus, on the night of May 26, a record number of 355 long-range drones were detected, surpassing the previous record of 298. Despite the successful work of the Ukrainian air defense system, which destroyed most of the attacking drones, significant damage was caused to civilian infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Russian troops are actively experimenting with attack tactics, changing the routes and flight altitudes of drones, and trying to bypass Ukrainian air defenses. The frequency of simultaneous group strikes is increasing, particularly on critical targets such as defense plants and other vital infrastructure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to expert assessments, the Kremlin’s primary goal is to weaken Ukraine’s defense capabilities, in particular, to destroy Ukrainian weapons and equipment production. Additionally, Moscow is attempting to exert psychological pressure on the population, creating an atmosphere of fear that is intended to encourage some citizens to leave the country. This terror, according to experts, is intended to force Ukrainians to agree to Russia’s conditions during potential negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite constant shelling, Ukrainian defense forces are effectively repelling most attacks thanks to advanced air defense and electronic warfare systems. At the same time, Western media predict a further escalation of Russian strikes, including an increase in drone production to 500 units per day and the possibility of using thousands of drones simultaneously.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Moscow continues to exert military pressure while claiming to be ready for peace. Experts believe that Russia is using its attacks as a tool to force concessions from Ukraine, while Kyiv is steadfast in defending its national interests.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The head of the communications department of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on the intensification of Ukrainian drone attacks on Russian territory. These strikes are no longer just an attempt at revenge or a demonstration of force; they are carried out with a clear military goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
First, such actions are aimed at disrupting the summer offensive of Russian forces. Ukrainian drones directly strike military facilities in Russia, where missiles, drones, and ammunition are produced. This helps reduce the enemy’s production capacity and complicates preparations for the offensive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Second, strikes on oil depots and transport hubs aim to slow down the movement of Russian forces and resources in the direction of potential offensive actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The third goal is to exhaust Russian air defenses. Ukrainian forces are already preparing to use new missiles that are technically more sophisticated and effective. Currently, mass attacks by much cheaper drones are being launched to force Russian air defense to work at the limit of their capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interestingly, Russia is also implementing the same tactic – massive launches of drones and missiles in an attempt to tire Ukrainian air defense, mainly due to the shortage of missiles for Patriot systems and others. Each side is trying to exhaust the enemy’s resources because the first to exhaust their capabilities loses the air battle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is now clear that the “rules of the game” are changing. Both sides are attempting to avoid strikes on energy facilities, as this could lead to severe consequences for each of them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The geopolitical situation remains tense. Russia is trying to pressure Ukraine into autumn from political and military positions, and Ukraine understands this well. The coming months may become decisive for both sides. Meanwhile, significant changes are occurring in the global context: Iran is in a state of balance between agreements with the US, and Syria is gradually coming under American influence. The price of Russian oil is currently hovering around $46, which is significantly lower than the budgeted level of $70. If this situation persists, it could lead to severe financial difficulties for Russia in the fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In such a challenging situation, it is essential to remain calm, keep a level head, avoid panic, and prioritize your physical and mental well-being to be prepared for any changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A note was found in one of the Kyiv laboratories studying downed Russian drones, indicating a new technology for controlling drones via Telegram bots.
