Some Ukrainian pensioners are facing a reduction in monthly payments due to the need to return previously received allowances. This information was published by the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in the Volyn region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Untimely notification of the Pension Fund about changes affecting the right to additional payments can lead to unpleasant consequences, in particular, a reduction in the pension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The refund applies to those allowances that were accrued without grounds. This can happen if the pensioner:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
has registered for a new job or opened an individual entrepreneur and has not been notified about it;
has ceased to work or closed an individual entrepreneur;
received a pension for long service and has been employed in a position that gives the right to such a pension;
has lost a preferential status, for example, has ceased to be a veteran;
has found a job while receiving a child-rearing allowance.
Pensioners must promptly inform the Pension Fund about all changes related to their status, address of residence, or employment. Otherwise, they may be forced to return “excess” funds from their pension\u2014and not always of their own free will.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If a person refuses to return the money voluntarily, the Pension Fund has the right to pursue legal action in court. In such a case, up to 20% may be withheld from the pension each month until the debt is repaid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was previously reported that pensioners from 9 regions may receive significant supplements to their pensions. It was also discussed how much you need to earn to receive a pension higher than the minimum.
