Users of the OLX platform are complaining about unexpectedly high commissions charged when selling goods through the delivery system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sellers indicate that the actual commission fees exceed those declared when placing the ads. One seller shared an example when he sold an item for 150 hryvnias, and the system showed a standard commission of 23 hryvnias, which seemed quite fair. However, as a result, after the transaction was completed, he received only 135 hryvnias, which means that the commission was about 40 hryvnias or 25%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to this seller, the situation is shocking: “When placing the ad, they indicate one thing, and after the transaction, it turns out that they take even more. Almost 25% is without taking into account the commission charged from the buyer. The total comes to 50%! It’s simply shocking.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additional indignation was caused by new, increased commissions for cash on delivery via “Nova Poshta”, which were introduced on June 1, 2025, without prior notification to users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The OLX support service explained that the increased commissions apply only to orders with payment upon receipt, as the sellers cover the costs of such transactions. The company also noted that to avoid the commission, sellers may not use cash-on-delivery or opt for direct sales without intermediaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The platform refers to the rules that allow such changes to be made without additional notification; however, sellers consider this practice to be opaque and unfair, as many of them learn about the actual commissions only after the transaction is completed.
