Even a stable job with an average salary and 35 years of experience does not guarantee a sufficient pension.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
An average salary of 20,300 hryvnias (as of May 2025) and whole work experience when calculating will result in receiving only 5,270 hryvnias in a monthly pension. This is lower than the national average of 6,410 hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
People who received a minimum salary of 8,000 hryvnias during their lifetime can expect to receive even less \u2014 about 2,361 hryvnias, which makes a secure life in old age practically impossible in the conditions of current inflation and rising prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To receive a pension of at least 10,000 hryvnias, a person needs to earn at least 38,300 hryvnias per month. For a retirement of more than 11,000 hryvnias, income must exceed 42,000 hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Statistical data also indicate sad trends:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
35% of current pensioners live on less than 4,000 hryvnias per month;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
55% receive a pension of less than 5,000 hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, it was also reported about possible increases in pensions for citizens over 65 years of age and the conditions that must be met to receive a supplement, which can reach more than 900 hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
