UN payments for pensioners and people with disabilities have been suspended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The suspension is due to a lack of funding. The last tranche was issued in July, as reported by the Ministry of Social Policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Due to limited resources, the UN payment program has been completed. If additional funding is available, the payments may be returned or reformatted,” the Ministry of Social Policy reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative, which began in August 2023, was implemented jointly by the Ministry of Social Policy, the Pension Fund, and the UN World Food Program. The main goal of the project was to support low-income individuals living in areas close to the front and not receiving assistance from other international organizations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
About 390,000 people received financial support each month, and the total amount of assistance exceeded 5 billion hryvnias. About 219 million hryvnias were allocated in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The funds were intended for pensioners, persons not entitled to a pension, and people with disabilities (including children), if their monthly income did not exceed 3,250 hryvnias. Priority in payments was given to residents of frontline regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, Zaporizhia, and Mykolaiv regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
