As Tomenko notes, the deputies changed their views with fantastic speed. &#8220;Not even 10 days have passed, when the same deputies who on July 22 supported the president&#8217;s initiative to weaken the powers of the NABU and the SAPO now support his bill to strengthen them,&#8221; he notes, pointing to this striking metamorphosis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Recall that <\/span><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">on July 22, 2025<\/span><\/strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">, a law was passed that granted the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office excessive powers and reduced the powers of the NABU and the SAPO. The following political forces supported it:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Servant of the People&#8221; &#8211; 185 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Platform for Life and Peace&#8221; (OPZH ex-party) &#8211; 18 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Trust&#8221; &#8211; 17 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Batkivshchyna&#8221; &#8211; 15 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Restore Ukraine&#8221; (OPZH ex-party) &#8211; 9 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;For the Future&#8221; &#8211; 10 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;EU&#8221; &#8211; 3 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Holos&#8221; &#8211; 1 vote.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The &#8220;re-shoes&#8221; phenomenon: who changed their attitude?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">After 9 days, the parliament reconvened and passed a law that abolishes the monopoly of the Prosecutor General&#8217;s Office and strengthens the powers of the NABU and the SAPO. Here are the voting results:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Servant of the People&#8221; \u2013 214 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;EU&#8221; \u2013 27 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Platform for Life and Peace&#8221; (ex-OPZZH) \u2013 17 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Trust&#8221; \u2013 17 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Holos&#8221; \u2013 16 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;For the Future&#8221; \u2013 11 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Restoration of Ukraine&#8221; (ex-OPZZH) \u2013 9 votes;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Batkivshchyna&#8221; \u2013 4 votes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Tomenko notes in his comments that &#8220;in 9 days the deputies completely changed their positions,&#8221; summing up the impressive percentages of &#8220;reversal&#8221;:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Servant of the People&#8221; \u2013 by 116%;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;For the Future&#8221; \u2013 by 110%;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Trust&#8221; \u2013 by 100%;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Restoration of Ukraine&#8221; (ex-OPZZH) \u2013 by 100%;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;Platform for Life and Peace&#8221; (ex-OPZZH) \u2013 94%.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;These are the POLITICAL TRANSFORMATIONS we have,&#8221; Tomenko emphasizes with irony, demonstrating the absurdity of the situation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Double standards: why is this happening?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This event once again emphasizes the &#8220;ETERNAL AND DOUBLE STANDARDS of Ukrainian politics&#8221;. Rapid and radical changes in the positions of deputies call into question their true motives. Is there external pressure here or internal agreements that change in an instant?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Such examples, when deputies first adopt one law and then repeal it, create the impression of chaos and unpredictability in the political life of Ukraine. This undermines citizens&#8217; trust in parliament and indicates the lack of a clear strategy in the fight against corruption.
