In the Lviv region, law enforcement officers detained a woman suspected of spying for the Russian military. According to the investigation, she was trying to record the location and activities of military airfields where the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s aviation is located.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A special operation conducted by the military counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine led to the detention of a 38-year-old unemployed resident. The investigation believes that the woman was carrying out the permission of the Russian special services and planned to transmit the exact coordinates of airfields with combat helicopters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is noted that the woman came to the attention of the occupiers through a Telegram channel that offered quick money. After she was recruited, she received instructions to go around the territory to identify military airfields. If they were discovered, she was ordered to install hidden video cameras with an autonomous power supply, which would allow the enemy to monitor the number and movement of Ukrainian helicopters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Law enforcement officials noted that the woman was detained at the initial stage of her activities. Officers had already recorded an attempt to install a new “video trap” near the potential object before they neutralized technical devices that could be used to monitor Ukrainian aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the search, a smartphone with materials that, according to investigators, confirm her participation in the collection of intelligence data was seized from the detainee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The woman was charged under Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns the unauthorized dissemination of information about the movement or location of the Armed Forces during martial law. The court decided to keep her in custody without the right to bail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
