Detectives of the Bureau of Economic Security of Ukraine have raised suspicions against the former deputy head of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He and his accomplices are accused of abusing their official powers during the purchase of protected tablets, resulting in losses to the state exceeding 1 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the report from the BEB press service, in 2023, the accused, along with employees of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, organized the purchase of tablets from a company controlled by them at inflated prices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“BEB detectives reported suspicions to the former deputy for committing criminal offenses provided for by the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the institution noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The issue of a preventive measure for the former official is currently being resolved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The channel of the international detective agency “ABSOLUTION” informs that the scheme for purchasing tablets also includes the director of the State Enterprise “Information Agency “Re-inform”, Oleksandr Pohoriliy, who has also been under suspicion. According to the channel, he has $267,000 in cash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Olexandr Pohoriliy is a specialist in transport safety and holds a degree from the State University of Infrastructure and Technologies. Previously, he worked as the head of Ukrtransbezpeka and at the State Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and later headed the security department at the State Enterprise “Naftogazbezpeka”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pohoriliy’s declaration states that his annual salary was 2.25 million hryvnias, and his wife earned approximately 300,000 hryvnias. The couple declared $225,000 and 1.71 million hryvnias. They own seven land plots with a total area of \u200b\u200b8.5 hectares in the Zaporizhzhia region, several residential buildings, and an apartment in Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pogorily also owns a Lexus RX 350 (2012, owned by his wife) and a Toyota Highlander (2016, purchased in 2021). On August 5, 2025, he reported to the NACP about the purchase of an apartment in Kyiv with an area of \u200b\u200b67.9 square meters for 3.7 million hryvnias. The funds for the purchase were received after the sale of real estate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The investigation into the purchase of tablets is ongoing.
