They are suspected of illegally embezzling the funds of the educational institution through abuse of office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This was reported by the press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor&#8217;s Office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The suspects&#8217; guilt was qualified under parts 3, 4, and 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It turned out that the former chief accountant, in collusion with the director of the lyceum, had systematically made groundless transfers from the institution&#8217;s account to her own account, covering this up with salary payments outside the payroll fund. The accountant&#8217;s average monthly &#8220;earnings&#8221; exceeded 100 thousand hryvnias. Such operations continued throughout 2021-2025, resulting in the woman receiving more than 10 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the sanction of the article, the punishment is imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years, as well as a ban on holding certain positions or engaging in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The pre-trial investigation is conducted by investigators of the Desnyansky Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police under the control of the Desnyansky District Prosecutor&#8217;s Office of the city of Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime until his guilt is proven in accordance with the law through a court verdict of guilty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Juvenile prosecutors of the Desnyansky District Prosecutor&#8217;s Office of Kyiv have charged the director and former accountant of one of the lyceums in the Desnyansky district.
