In June of this year, Armani graced the cover of the September issue of Perfect, shot by photographer Willy Vanderperre, and last year he appeared on the pages of Vanity Fair.<\/p>\n

\nGiorgio’s last interview was published on August 29, 2025 in the Financial Times – HTSI supplement, where he recalled significant moments in the history of his brand, and his friends, colleagues and fans shared their memories of him.<\/p>\n
Carla Sozzani recalled:<\/p>\n
“I first met Giorgio at the beginning of his career and we became friends. He always knew what he wanted and never compromised.”<\/p>\n
Rick Owens added:<\/p>\n
“I ‘borrowed’ a lot from Armani. His elegance and constancy have always served as a reference point for me.”<\/p>\n
Maria Grazia Chiuri emphasized:<\/p>\n
“His work gave women not only stylish clothes, but also a new understanding of themselves in the era of feminism.”<\/p>\n
Laura Dern noted:<\/p>\n
“The dress he created for the 1990 Cannes Film Festival became a symbol of my confidence. I even wore it to the Oscar after-party in 2020.”<\/p>\n
Andriy Shevchenko, president of the Ukrainian Football Association and former striker for the Ukrainian national team, has reacted touchingly to the death of Giorgio Armani, who passed away at the age of 91.<\/p>\n
In his statement, Shevchenko wrote:<\/p>\n
“The world has lost a man who taught it elegance. I have lost a friend. Thank you for everything, dear Giorgio.”<\/p>\n
The footballer met the designer in the early 2000s in Milan, when Shevchenko played for AC Milan. They continued to maintain friendly relations: Shevchenko represented the Giorgio Armani brand several times and appeared on the podium during fashion shows.<\/p>\n
