Despite the general mobilization in Ukraine since the beginning of the large-scale military invasion, some categories of citizens are granted the right to reservation, which exempts them from conscription. Some of them receive indefinite exemption for the entire period of mobilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the current legislation of Ukraine, in particular the Law “On Mobilization Preparation and Mobilization”, those liable for military service may be reserved for a specific period or until the completion of mobilization measures. This legislation also indicates a clear list of persons subject to reservation to support the functioning of state bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main mobilization in Ukraine concerns men subject to military service. At the same time, there are categories of persons who are entirely exempt from conscription, and some of them have reservations that are valid for the entire period of mobilization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What is an indefinite reservation, and to whom is it granted?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indefinite reservation is a specific form of deferment granted to certain categories of employees who hold important positions. Unlike a temporary reservation, which has a set validity period, an indefinite reservation is valid throughout the entire mobilization period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This status applies to employees of central and local government bodies, providing them with protection from conscription until the end of mobilization. In addition, the category of persons subject to indefinite reservation includes employees of law enforcement agencies, the prosecutor’s office, the State Emergency Service, and other responsible services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Indefinite reservation is also available to employees of patronage services who permanently work in state bodies on the territory of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, it was reported about the deferment without the conclusion of the VLK and about the initiatives of political forces to support draft laws on wounded soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
