Citizens of Ukraine who have significantly more work experience than is required for retirement have the right to receive additional payments from the Pension Fund for their insurance experience. The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported the conditions for such accruals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The fund noted that longer work experience and a later pension can lead to larger payments. This allowance serves as an incentive for those who continue to work after reaching retirement age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Who is the allowance accrued for<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In 2025, the following requirements apply to the insurance experience:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Retirement at 60 years – at least 32 years of experience;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
at 63 years, with 22 years of experience;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At 65 years, with at least 15 years of experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the same time, the calculation of the allowance also depends on the date of pension assignment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If the pension was assigned before October 2011, overtime is considered to be more than 25 years of experience for men and 20 years for women;
After October 2011: 35 years for men and 30 years for women.
Methodology for calculating the allowance<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For each year of overtime, a pensioner receives 1% of the subsistence minimum for disabled persons, but this amount cannot exceed the subsistence minimum. In 2025, the subsistence minimum is 2361 UAH; therefore, 23.61 UAH is accrued for each additional year of service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Examples of accruals:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
for 10 years over the norm – an additional payment of 236 UAH per month;
for 30 years over the norm – about 708 UAH per month.
For those who continue to work after retirement, the allowance amount is determined based on the subsistence minimum at the time of pension assignment. If a pensioner is dismissed, the amount of the additional payment is adjusted in accordance with the current subsistence minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
