Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation have sent a case to court against the former head of the State Geocadastre in the Khmelnytskyi region.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, in 2021, he organized the illegal transfer of land plots that were later used for mining. This information was made public by the State Bureau of Investigation.<\/p>\n
Law enforcement officers established that the criminal scheme operated in the Borysivka village council of the Shepetivskyi district of the Khmelnytskyi region. The official managed to ensure the adoption of 22 illegal orders in violation of the law, thereby transferring the community’s land plots to private ownership.<\/p>\n
As a result of such actions, about 45 hectares of land were removed from communal property. Less than a year after the re-registration, mining began on this territory. The enterprise extracts sand, gravel, clay, and kaolin.<\/p>\n
Currently, all land plots involved in the criminal proceedings are under arrest, and the court has prohibited their alienation until the final decision in the case. According to the investigation, the losses caused to the state exceed 5 million 200 thousand hryvnias, and work is underway to compensate for them.<\/p>\n
As law enforcement officers have established, the head of one of the regional State Geocadastre’s departments is involved in this illegal activity, the materials regarding which have been allocated to a separate case. Currently, the woman is hiding from the investigation authorities and is wanted.<\/p>\n
The former head has been charged with abuse of office, resulting in grave consequences, as well as with official forgery. These are Articles 28 Part 2, 364 Part 2, as well as 28 Part 1, 366 Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum penalty under these articles is up to six years’ imprisonment.<\/p>\n
The Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor’s Office is conducting the procedural management of this case. Currently, three additional criminal cases are pending against this official in court.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, during his tenure, he illegally transferred about 195 hectares of land to private ownership, causing losses to the state of about 13 million hryvnias.<\/p>\n
