In her comments, the MP noted that in the morning, security guards tried to prevent her from entering the hall, so she had to “break through by force.” The Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, called for the rostrum to be unblocked. Still, Bezugla refused to comply with his decree, and he announced a 15-minute break to discuss the situation with the faction leaders.<\/p>\n
Maryana Bezugla, a deputy from the Servant of the People party and deputy chairman of the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence, has long been involved in several scandals related to her criticism of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and conflicts with colleagues. Her statements often cause sharp reactions among the military, politicians, and society.<\/p>\n
Previously, Bezugla openly criticized the then Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhny, accusing him of strategic mistakes and calling for his resignation. She also made emotional statements about individual military leaders, which often sparked disputes.<\/p>\n
In parliament, Bezugla has repeatedly entered into public discussions with other deputies. In 2024, she announced her withdrawal from the Servant of the People faction.
