Ukraine plans to introduce a new digital service \u2013 eCheck. The government has already approved the relevant decision, and the project is scheduled to launch in 2026 with phased implementation.<\/p>\n
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has adopted a resolution regulating the mechanism for launching eCheck, a national electronic settlement document. This document establishes the rules governing the service’s operation and the legal conditions for its implementation.<\/p>\n
According to the Ministry of Economy’s press service, eCheck is an electronic check that the buyer receives in the banking application immediately after paying for goods or services with a card at retail outlets or online stores.<\/p>\n
This electronic check will be stored in digital format and will always be available to the user. It can be used to return products, exchange, or use warranty service without the need to store paper checks.<\/p>\n
Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Oleksiy Sobolev emphasized that eCheck offers essential advantages: for consumers, a convenient way to confirm a purchase; for entrepreneurs, reduced paper and printing costs; and for the state, more transparent data without additional controls.<\/p>\n
The service is planned to launch in 2026, with implementation taking place in stages. At the initial stage, eCheck will operate in test mode as part of a pilot project, with selected national retail chains and banks participating.<\/p>\n
ECheck use must be voluntary. The introduction of an electronic check does not change the existing requirements for the use of PPO or PRPO. If desired, the buyer can receive either a paper or an electronic check, or both at the same time.<\/p>\n
It is also noted that eCheck is a tool for accessing settlement documents already in the PPO accounting system and does not impose an additional burden on enterprises.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the government continues to discuss introducing mandatory terminals for individual entrepreneurs of the 1st group until the end of the war.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
