But there is a straightforward trick that can significantly alleviate your suffering, which experienced drivers know about – the air recirculation button. This secret has been known for a long time, reports the portal “Your CAR”.<\/p>\n
Turning on the recirculation allows the air already in the cabin to heat up faster, halving the warm-up time. However, you should be careful, as there is an important nuance.<\/p>\n
Kyiv auto mechanic Yuriy Tkachuk emphasizes that recirculation should be used rationally. This function blocks outside air from entering, which, although it helps warm the interior faster, can lead to increased humidity. This, in turn, causes condensation on the windows, leading to discomfort and reduced visibility.<\/p>\n
Experts advise activating the recirculation mode for only a few minutes to warm the car, then switching to the fresh air supply mode to avoid excessive humidity.<\/p>\n
Another helpful tip that drivers often ignore in winter is using the air conditioner. Yuriy suggests turning it on periodically, even in the cold season. Why is this important? Firstly, the air conditioner dries the air, preventing excess moisture from forming. Secondly, regular operation of the system helps maintain it in proper condition. If the air conditioner is not used for a long time, the lubricant stops circulating, the seals dry out, and this can damage the compressor.<\/p>\n
