Since 2026, Ukraine has established new rules for pensioners to report changes in their life circumstances.<\/p>\n
According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, untimely reporting of changes can result in financial losses, including the return of payments received in excess or even fines.<\/p>\n
Pensioners are required to report important changes within 10 calendar days of their occurrence, as such changes directly affect the amount of their pensions.<\/p>\n
Among the changes that should be reported are changes in social status, starting work, completing a child’s education, moving to another locality, or changes in the grounds for receiving additional payments. All of these factors can lead to a correction in the amount of the pension.<\/p>\n
If a pensioner does not report the changes on time, the Pension Fund has the right to demand the return of excess funds received. At the same time, monthly maintenance cannot exceed 20% of the pension amount, but even these restrictions can seriously affect an older adultperson’s financial situation.<\/p>\n
In addition, free travel is possible only with a pension certificate. Traveling without a ticket is subject to a fine of twenty times the cost of the ticket, and this rule has no exceptions.<\/p>\n
The government justified these innovations by the need to strengthen control and prevent abuse. The norms governing free travel are set out in a Cabinet of Ministers resolution, and liability for violations is enshrined in the Code of Administrative Offenses.<\/p>\n
It was also emphasized that pensioners must comply with the new conditions, and it is important to know what to notify the Pension Fund about to avoid losing social subsidies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
