In addition, there are priority conditions for certain categories of citizens.<\/p>\n<p>Adults in Ukraine can privatize up to 2 hectares of land for personal farming free of charge. Then such land can be sold at their own discretion. It is important to note that during martial law, the free transfer of state and municipal land to private hands is temporarily suspended, and registration is possible only after the abolition of martial law.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the specified 2 hectares for OSG, the law also provides for other restrictions: up to 12 hectares for gardening, up to 25 hectares in villages (15 in villages and 10 in cities) for the construction of a residential building, up to 10 hectares for summer cottage construction, and up to 1 hectares for a garage. Farming costs depend on the size of the land share determined in a specific area.<\/p>\n<p>The right to receive land is given priority to combatants, persons with disabilities as a result of the war, and families of the deceased, if they have not yet taken advantage of this opportunity. They are also exempt from paying land tax.<\/p>\n<p>To start the procedure, you should select a free plot on the public cadastral map and submit a request to the local authorities or the relevant department of the State Geocadastre.<\/p>\n<p>If the land share is leased, the tenant has the right to buy it out. The owner is obliged to notify the tenant in writing of his intention to sell the plot at least two months in advance.
