“Stop Corruption” is investigating the possible inefficient use of budget funds in Ivano-Frankivsk. The editorial team is still waiting for a response from Mayor Ruslan Marcinkiv after submitting a request. The journalists discovered an interesting fact: a company that previously belonged to Deputy Mayor Taras Polatayko received about 5 million hryvnias from the department he heads.<\/p>\n
We would like to remind you that in early March, the “Stop Corruption” team contacted the mayor regarding information from residents about the possible inefficient use of budget funds for cleaning roads and equipping civil defense facilities.<\/p>\n
At the moment, the editorial team has not received answers to its questions, which prompted it to conduct a more detailed study of those responsible for the improvement of Ivano-Frankivsk.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that the improvement department, headed by Polatayko, is responsible for this area.<\/p>\n
Taras Polatayko, who was born on November 14, 1975 in Nadvirna, has a higher economic education and served in the Ukrainian army. His career began with low-level positions, and in 2021 he became the deputy mayor of Ivano-Frankivsk and director of the Department of Public Works.<\/p>\n
According to his declaration for 2024, his main income is 502,866 hryvnias, while his wife received 220,275 hryvnias. Among the assets, significant savings are recorded – 29 thousand dollars and 520 thousand hryvnias in cash.<\/p>\n
Polatayko and his family own four residential buildings, most of which were purchased after 2020, as well as three land plots. Among the vehicles mentioned are a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and a Nissan Juke.<\/p>\n
It is worth noting that in 2021, the company, previously owned by Polatayk, concluded agreements with the Department of Public Works for the amount of about 4.9 million hryvnias. This raises the issue of a possible conflict of interest.<\/p>\n
The editorial staff of “Stop Corruption” has already sent an additional request to the mayor regarding the budget expenditures for cleaning in the city for 2023-2025, and also asks about those responsible for these funds.<\/p>\n
