Experts, in particular, the founder of the Institute of Energy Strategies Yuriy Korolchuk, warn that the next heating season may be decisive for Ukrainian consumers. He notes that this winter is likely to be the last with relatively low tariffs. In the fall, the price of heat may increase to 3 thousand hryvnias per gigacalorie, in some cases up to 4 thousand, which will lead to an actual doubling of bills.<\/p>\n
Korolchuk also draws attention to the issue of gas supply. From March 28, Naftogaz will stop supplying gas to heating and power utilities, which indicates the end of the heating season. Currently, the average cost of heat in Ukraine is approximately 1.5\u20132 thousand hryvnias per gigacalorie, although in some regions the price reaches 4 thousand hryvnias.<\/p>\n
One of the main reasons for the possible increase in tariffs is the significant debts in the field of heat supply. This applies not only to the heating and power utilities, but also to the state, which must compensate for the difference in tariffs.
