Pensioners are promised significant payments according to the court decision, but the reality may be completely different.<\/p>\n
As reported by lawyer Tetyana Golytsya, the court found the division of debts into parts illegal. The Kyiv District Administrative Court canceled Resolution No. 821, which allowed pension debts to be paid gradually. If this decision remains in force, the state will be obliged to return the entire amount at once. However, experts warn that one should not rush into optimism.<\/p>\n
“The government is unlikely to pay the money immediately,” said former Deputy Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko.<\/p>\n
He also added that the authorities could simply change the rules, leaving everything as it was. In addition, the decision may still be appealed, as an appeal is pending.<\/p>\n
Economist Yuriy Gavrylechko expressed disbelief in quick payments, emphasizing that even if debts are recognized, they will be paid only within the budget, which will limit payments to a minimum. Thus, receiving debts can drag on for years.<\/p>\n
“Pensioners can count on payments only if they are immortal,” the expert ironically noted.<\/p>\n
Formally, the state is to blame, but real payments should not be expected in the near future. Another important point is that it is not ordinary pensioners who can receive money in the first place, but those who have influence or a special status.<\/p>\n
Recall that the resolution that allowed paying debts in installments through the Pension Fund was introduced due to the huge debt, which by 2025 reached almost 85 billion hryvnias.
