In the Kyiv region, law enforcement officers have exposed an inspector for the protection of natural reserves in corrupt activities.<\/p>\n
According to the investigation materials, the official promised to resolve the issue of “reservation” from mobilization by influencing officials and organizing fictitious employment. This is stated in the report of the Kyiv regional prosecutor’s office.<\/p>\n
Under the procedural guidance of the Buchanan district prosecutor’s office, an inspector of one of the national natural parks was notified of suspicion of receiving an illegal benefit for influencing the decision-making of an official (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).<\/p>\n
According to the investigation, the official demanded 2,500 US dollars for “resolving the issue” of a postponement from mobilization, guaranteed influence on other officials and organizing fictitious employment at a critical infrastructure enterprise.<\/p>\n
The man was detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine immediately after receiving the funds.<\/p>\n
The court chose house arrest as a preventive measure for him. However, the prosecutor’s office filed an appeal, demanding that the preventive measure be changed to detention with the possibility of bail.<\/p>\n
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Buchanan District Police Department with the assistance of the Internal Security Department of the National Police of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
