There is a shortage of people willing to work in territorial recruitment centers in Ukraine, which was confirmed by the military ombudsman Olga Reshetylova.<\/p>\n
She drew attention to the systemic difficulties in the work of territorial recruitment centers and social support mechanisms. According to her, servicemen of the TCC face a high workload and working conditions that do not always contribute to the effective performance of duties, such as the lack of days off and vacations.<\/p>\n
Reshetylova emphasized that, according to current legislation, TCC employees should not engage in forced mobilization. Their key tasks are to maintain military records, develop mobilization plans and establish cooperation with military units, while coercive measures should be carried out by law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n
However, in practice, TCC employees often become the object of public discontent and aggression. The Ombudsman noted that these employees take on all the negativity, including from young people, who sometimes resort to bullying people in uniform.<\/p>\n
Due to the complexity of the service, many servicemen of the TCC want to be transferred to combat units, but in many cases such changes become impossible due to health problems or the consequences of injuries. Thus, they find themselves in a situation where they cannot change their place of service, despite their own desire.<\/p>\n
An additional factor that affects the motivation to serve is low wages, as many positions in the TCC are located in rear areas.<\/p>\n
The Ombudsman emphasized that mobilization is critically important for the country’s defense capability and should take place exclusively within the legal framework. The state should pay more attention to the conditions of service in the TCC and form respect for servicemen among the population.<\/p>\n
According to the results of the monitoring visit of Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets, numerous violations of citizens’ rights, unsanitary conditions, restrictions on communication, and neglect of medical care were recorded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
