Kyiv residents are still waiting for the resolution of cases of embezzlement of funds, including the situation with the former metro director Braginsky. Without real punishments in such matters, talk about “lack of money” looks like a mockery.<\/p>\n

Another problem of the capital is private minibuses. While city transport is switching to digital formats, a large amount of undeclared cash continues to circulate in private minibuses. Experts claim that they have been fighting for the installation of validators in these minibuses for ten years, but to no avail.<\/p>\n
The “route mafia” increased the fare from 15 to 20 hryvnias without any discussions. What is the situation with this in our capital? “- asks the politician.<\/p>\n
The lack of a single ticket for all types of transport allows carriers to receive super-profits, leaving the city at a loss.<\/p>\n
Officials against passengers<\/p>\n
While the city calls on passengers to “save money”, the staff of the Kyiv city administration is only increasing. Tomenko draws attention to the huge costs of maintaining numerous deputy mayors and assistants to Kyiv City Council deputies.<\/p>\n
“Haven’t you considered the possibility of optimizing expenses for officials in the Kyiv City State Administration, the Regional State Administration, and municipal enterprises?” – Tomenko asks rhetorically.<\/p>\n
Instead of reducing advertising expenses or “deputy funds,” the authorities are once again looking towards pensioners and students.<\/p>\n
Civilized solutions instead of controllers<\/p>\n
In conclusion, Tomenko noted that Kyiv has an abnormally large number of controllers. Other countries have long abandoned such a practice, transferring control over payment to drivers, which is both more economical and more efficient.<\/p>\n
