More and more Ukrainians are noticing significant differences in housing maintenance fees, even in neighboring buildings. Experts explain that this is no longer a coincidence, but reflects a new reality.<\/p>\n
According to journalist Irina Polyakova, now the cost of servicing apartment buildings is determined individually, and the figures in the fees are influenced by several significant factors.<\/p>\n
First of all, the presence of an elevator. In buildings without one, residents are exempt from maintenance costs. At the same time, in high-rise buildings, electricity costs and elevator maintenance significantly increase the fee.<\/p>\n
Another important factor is the area of \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200bthe adjacent territory. The larger the yard, the more resources are required for its maintenance, including the wages of janitors and the costs of cleaning and landscaping. Thus, even a small house with a large area can have higher costs.<\/p>\n
The condition and age of the building also affect the tariff. Old houses require frequent repairs due to worn-out communications, which is included in the tariffs. At the same time, new buildings do not always mean low costs: modern systems, such as pumping stations or fire-fighting automation, require maintenance, which may not be cheap.<\/p>\n
A significant change compared to the past is that previously averaged tariffs were in effect for entire cities or districts, and now each house has its own list of services and the corresponding cost.<\/p>\n
It should be noted that from June, Ukrainians are expected to face new tariffs: UAH 5.64 for electricity and UAH 10 for gas.
