The authorities have made changes to their proposals to the International Monetary Fund regarding the introduction of VAT for small businesses. Yulia Tymoshenko noted that this decision was the result of the efforts of the Batkivshchyna party team, the #SaveFOP national movement and thousands of entrepreneurs from all over the country.<\/p>\n
She emphasized that hundreds of thousands of concerned Ukrainians joined the campaign against tax pressure.<\/p>\n
“Together with you, we raised the whole country! We collected more than 100,000 signatures against the introduction of VAT for FOPs, adopted about 200 decisions of local councils and held numerous public events,” said Yulia Tymoshenko and emphasized that their principled position in the Verkhovna Rada did not allow this senseless initiative to take root, which could threaten small businesses.<\/p>\n
The deputy leader of “Batkivshchyna” Valery Dubil noted that private enterprises are the basis of the country’s economy, and the government has no right to increase the tax burden on them.<\/p>\n
“Entrepreneurs are already having a hard time because of the war: they pay salaries, taxes, rent, support the army. If VAT is introduced, entrepreneurs will either go into the shadows or simply close their businesses.”<\/p>\n
“Our team publicly spoke out against this initiative. We held many meetings and round tables with entrepreneurs and activists of the capital. In Kyiv alone, we collected tens of thousands of signatures on a petition against the introduction of VAT for FOP. Thanks to our pressure, the authorities eventually gave up their intentions.”<\/p>\n
The leader of “Batkivshchyna” Yulia Tymoshenko also stated that the struggle continues. The next step should be the adoption of a draft law on a moratorium on tax increases for small businesses:<\/p>\n
“This will provide entrepreneurs with the necessary stability and clear rules of operation,” she concluded.<\/p>\n
The “Batkivshchyna” faction also voted against draft law No. 14005, which concerns the simplification of the digitalization of executive proceedings, as it considers it a threat to every Ukrainian, as it can lead to the blocking of bank accounts and property, as well as deprive people of a single home for minor debts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
