In 2026, a certain category of pensioners in Ukraine will have the opportunity to receive an additional monthly payment, which will amount to up to 40% of the subsistence minimum. This allowance is intended for special services to the state, especially for mothers with many children.<\/p>\n
The additional payment will be available to women who have given birth to or adopted five or more children and raised them until the age of six. In the event that the mother is absent, the right to receive assistance passes to the father.<\/p>\n
The amount of the allowance depends on the number of children: for five children, 35% of the subsistence minimum will be charged, for six – 36%, for seven – 37%, for eight – 38%, for nine – 39%. The largest additional payment, 40%, will be issued to those who have raised ten or more children.<\/p>\n
In 2026, the amount of this additional payment is expected to reach from 908 to 1038 hryvnias per month. The payment will be added to the basic pension, regardless of its type – age or disability. To apply, you must submit an application with attached documents, and the funds will begin to accrue after submitting the application.<\/p>\n
Although the amount of such additional payments is small, they have a legislative basis. Since the allowance is tied to the subsistence minimum, it will automatically increase with its revision.<\/p>\n
It is important to know that in the event of the death of a person who received this allowance, disabled family members may receive part of the funds. One relative can receive 70% of the assigned amount, and two or more – 90%.<\/p>\n
It was also previously reported that amounts of 3900 or 5000 hryvnias may be added to the pension, as well as changes in PrivatBank tariffs that will come into effect from June 1.
