Users encountered difficulties using the Diya, Nova Poshta, and Oschadbank applications and problems with payment terminals, including Apple Pay and Google Pay.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The problems began in the morning. The applications displayed messages about errors when updating information, and in stores, people could not pay with cards through the terminals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Oschadbank Chairman Serhiy Naumov recalled that the outage was caused by technical problems in one of the large data centers:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;This is not only an issue for Oschadbank, but also for many other digital services. The relevant services are already working to restore the system.&#8221;<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Monobank Chairman Oleg Gorohovsky initially discussed the possibility of a hacker attack, but later confirmed that it did not occur.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Official comments<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Olexandr Fedienko, head of the Verkhovna Rada subcommittee on cyber security, stressed:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">&#8220;This is just a technical failure related to the human factor. There was no cyberattack.
