BEB is investigating a possible understatement of rent by the company’s manager by over UAH 2 million

Detectives from the Territorial Department of the BEB in the Lviv region have raised suspicions against the head of a state-owned enterprise, who is suspected of organizing the illegal lease of state-owned real estate to a private educational institution.

It was established that the official agreed to the use of a state-owned property object without holding a mandatory auction. Additionally, the rent was significantly underestimated, which violates the requirements for the use of state property.

According to the concluded agreement, the educational institution did not pay 70% of the total cost of renting state property. As a result of the director’s actions, the State Budget of Ukraine incurred losses of more than 2 million hryvnias.

The official was suspected of abuse of office by Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court has already decided on a preventive measure for the suspect.
