300 kg in swamps and under electronic warfare: the Armed Forces of Ukraine presented a new combat robot Bizon-L
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has approved the use of the new ground robotic complex Bizon-L in the Armed Forces. This decision was the result of numerous tests and trials in various conditions. The development of the complex takes into account the current needs in the conditions of the modern combat environment.
The complex has a feature – it remains inconspicuous for thermal imagers, which increases its chances of survival on the battlefield. Bizon-L can be equipped with a combat module, such as a 12.7 mm machine gun, which allows it to perform combat missions.
This robot is able to function even under the influence of enemy electronic warfare, which is critically important for the successful completion of missions. Bizon-L has six different communication methods for control and information transmission, including LTE, Wi-Fi and Starlink.
The maximum speed of the complex reaches 12 km/h, which is sufficient for movement in difficult conditions. The load capacity is up to 300 kg, which allows it to transport the necessary equipment. The range is up to 50 km without recharging.
Bizon-L performs important tasks on the battlefield, including transporting cargo, ammunition and wounded soldiers, which reduces the risks for personnel during logistics operations. In addition, the complex can create engineering barriers in designated areas.
The robot is also used for mining the territory and serves as a universal platform for various equipment. It can be equipped with antennas and radio communication repeaters, as well as electronic warfare equipment.
In the first half of 2026, the Ministry of Defense plans to conclude contracts with manufacturers for the supply of 25,000 ground robotic complexes, which is a significant increase in purchases for the army and indicates the active development of the direction of robotic systems in military operations.
