Photos reveal new details of Komarov’s murder in Bali

Before the brutal murder of the son of Ukrainian businessman Igor Komarov in Bali, kidnappers likely discovered his whereabouts through his girlfriend’s Instagram posts. Police found Komarov’s mutilated body, for which they demanded a multi-million-pound ransom, with his limbs severed and his organs removed.

The tragic incident was the final stage of Komarov’s brutal kidnapping on the resort island. The criminals had been following him for several weeks using geolocation from the posts of his girlfriend, influencer Eva Mishalova.

At the time of the kidnapping, Komarov was with friends when they were attacked by a group of armed men while riding motorcycles. After the kidnapping, the attackers released a brutal video demanding a ransom of around £7 million. In the video, the 28-year-old Ukrainian pleaded for help, claiming that he had already been badly injured.

The video message contained urgent appeals for rescue, emphasizing that without medical assistance his life was in danger. Komarov emphasized that the criminals demanded a huge sum for his release.

A review of the situation conducted by the true-crime channel Lazy Masquerade indicates that Eva Mishalova’s activity on social networks could have been the cause of the attacks. The narrator notes that her posts actually provided accurate information about Igor’s location, which complicated the search.

In particular, a romantic post from February 14, dedicated to Valentine’s Day, likely became an important moment for the criminals who were following the couple.

After the ransom video appeared, another recording appeared in which Igor, under pressure, declared about his father’s alleged fraudulent activities. This situation caused a huge resonance and made this case a topic for investigations in Ukraine.
