Child benefits in June: who can receive what amounts?

From June 1, 2025, all social benefits for children will be preserved in Ukraine.

The subsistence minimum remains unchanged. Therefore, the amounts of benefits have remained at the same level, but several significant innovations have been introduced, according to sources.

Working mothers can receive benefits during pregnancy and childbirth in the range of 7,100 hryvnias to 106,500 hryvnias per month, depending on the salary for the previous year. Those women who are not working can count on payments from the employment center or a standard amount of 757 hryvnias.

After the birth of a child, the amount of benefits will be 41,280 hryvnias. Of this amount, 10,320 hryvnias are paid immediately, and the remaining 860 hryvnias are paid monthly over a period of three years.

For single mothers, the following amounts have been established since June:

2,563 hryvnias per child under 6 years old,

3,196 hryvnias for children aged 6 to 18,

3,028 hryvnias for students under 23.

The amounts of alimony have remained unchanged; the maximum amount is equivalent to 10 subsistence minimums, which corresponds to 25,630 hryvnias for children under 6 years old and 31,960 hryvnias for those older than 6 years.

Guardians receive the following amounts:

6,407.5 hryvnias for children under 6 years old,

7,990 hryvnias for children from 6 to 18 years old. If the child has a disability, the amount is 8,970.5 hryvnias or 11,186 hryvnias, respectively.

In large families, 2,100 hryvnias are paid for each child, and for children who are internally displaced persons, 3,000 hryvnias are paid.

The possibilities of using the “municipal nanny” service have been expanded. Now, families with children under 6 years old who are IDPs, live in dangerous areas, or have a disabled father or mother can use this service. The maximum cost is 7,100 hryvnias per month.

Despite the difficulties, in particular the war with Russia, the Ukrainian authorities continue to support families with children. Adherence to the principles of donations and volunteer work is becoming essential for preserving the rear.

It has already been stated earlier that measures will be taken to encourage the birth rate: expectant mothers will receive additional financial support.
