PrivatBank is driving people to despair: the ATM did not dispense cash, but debited the funds from the account
Bank customers are complaining about issues with ATMs that fail to dispense cash despite the money having already been debited from their accounts.
Complaints are emerging in many cities that ATMs are “eating” money. For example, one Oschadbank user attempted to withdraw 5,000 hryvnias from a PrivatBank ATM on April 1 but never received the money. He submitted a request for a refund to Oschadbank the next day, but 49 days have passed, and the funds have not been returned.
Another case occurred on May 19. A man attempted to withdraw money from his pension card twice – first near a residential complex and then in a shopping mall. In both cases, the ATM did not dispense the money, although these amounts did not exceed 5,000 hryvnias.
People often struggle to find explanations in such situations. The voice assistant on the hotline refuses to help, and the managers who could be contacted do not respond at all. This situation is causing mass indignation, as users are concerned about the irresponsibility of banks regarding missing funds.
It is worth noting that the country’s financial system is experiencing significant instability, particularly related to the ongoing war in Ukraine. This complicates the situation for many Ukrainians, which requires joint support and active volunteering.
It was previously reported that users faced difficulties in receiving both pensions and salaries due to similar problems. PrivatBank also made an urgent statement, urging customers to check their accounts.
