Men reminded of stiff fines for evasion – time is running out

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine warns that violators of the deadline for fulfilling the requirements may face serious consequences, including significant fines! Who falls under these conditions, and how to avoid problems?

Deadline for “limitedly fit”: there is little time left until June 5

Men subject to military service aged 25 to 60, with the status of “limitedly fit,” must adhere to an important deadline. The spokesman for the Minister of Defense, Dmytro Lazutkin, emphasized in a telethon that a repeated military medical examination (MMC) must be passed by June 5, 2025. This is not a simple wish but an obligation, the violation of which entails serious consequences.

The requirement applies to everyone who received the status of “limitedly fit” by May 4, 2024; however, persons with disabilities are exempt from this obligation. This is important to consider to avoid confusion.

Rights and administrative penalties

Dmytro Lazutkin also emphasized the importance of the rule of law in society. Individuals who fail to pass the re-VLK by June 5 will be considered violators of the military registration rules during a special period.

Such actions may result in administrative punishment, according to Article 210 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses. This means that they may be fined, which can be significant, so it is worth taking this requirement seriously.

What to do if there are good reasons.

Circumstances may arise in life that prevent a person from passing the VLK on time. Dmitry Lazutkin noted that if a person has good reasons, such as prolonged hospitalization, it is necessary to notify the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCK and SP) in advance.

This is one of the most critical aspects. You should not wait until the last moment or hope for luck. It is advisable to take advantage of the opportunity and contact the CCC in advance, submitting all the necessary documents. Otherwise, as Lazutkin noted, fines may be imposed.

Time is running out, so it is essential to act by the new requirements. Will all “limitedly fit” people manage to pass the VLK in time and avoid fines? Time will tell, but remember: ignorance of the law does not exempt you from responsibility.
