Arnold Schwarzenegger Opens New Chapter in His Life with Pets

Over the past few years, actor Arnold Schwarzenegger has added unusual pets to his family. As his son Patrick told the podcast “Literally! With Rob Lowe,” it was part of his father’s transformation, which is helping him cope with a midlife crisis.

The former California governor’s residence now houses a pig named Schnelli, a donkey named Lulu, a miniature horse named Whiskey, and several dogs. Patrick noted that his father has become so fond of his new four-legged friends that he began to resemble the literary character Dr. Dolittle, who can communicate with animals.

Patrick emphasized that the uniqueness of the Schwarzenegger household is striking: “He always has animals running around. He has biscuits for the horses, soup for the pigs, and special dishes for the dogs. It reminds me of a scene from a movie, but in reality, this is what their everyday life looks like.”

The actor’s son even expressed his desire to make a film based on this experience, which Brian Grazer could produce.

Outside of home comfort, Schwarzenegger continues to be actively involved in public activities. In September, he received an honorary doctorate from the private Hertie School in Berlin for his contributions to the fight against climate change and the development of civil society.
