What are the dangers of store-bought chicken and how to cook it properly to avoid antibiotics?
In today’s world, where healthy eating is becoming extremely relevant, chicken remains one of the most accessible and easy-to-prepare foods.
For true gourmets, poultry raised on natural feed is a real treasure.
Unlike store-bought chicken, which often contains traces of antibiotics and hormones, it is essential to follow special preparation guidelines when handling meat to minimize risks.
The first important tip is not to use broth made from store-bought chicken. During cooking, many toxic substances enter the liquid. If you decide to cook such meat, drain the first water after boiling, rinse the bird well, and then fill it with fresh water.
The second tip concerns thorough cleaning of the chicken carcass. Before cooking, it must be washed and all internal organs removed. Even if the chicken has been gutted, do not neglect this stage because it is in the cavity that a large number of toxins accumulate.
The third tip is to remove the skin from the meat and marinate the chicken in a special solution. To do this, mix a liter of water, 3-4 tablespoons of salt, and a few tablespoons of fresh lemon juice. Mix well, then dip the chicken pieces in the marinade and let them sit for a few hours. Then, drain the solution and marinate the meat in fresh liquid. This will allow you to clean the chicken as thoroughly as possible from the remnants of harmful compounds.
Let’s recall that you can prepare a delicious dish from lean pancakes on the water without noticing that there is no milk in it. We have also previously considered how to make a salad that remains useful and not just a set of empty calories.
