Kyiv beaches are crowded even under martial law and without an official season

The summer heat reigns in Kyiv: locals are flocking to crowded beaches, although the official swimming season has not yet begun. Despite the martial law imposed, security services are advising against visiting water areas due to the threat of shelling and mines. However, this does not deter Kyiv residents – there are many vacationers at popular locations such as Hydropark, Venice, and Troyeshchyna.

According to the Center for Public Health of Ukraine, at the beginning of June 2025, the water on 12 beaches in the capital meets sanitary standards. Among them:

Dniprovsky district: beaches “Venezia,” ​​”Veselka,” “Dityachy,” “Zoloty,” “Molodizhny,” “Predmistna Slobidka,” “Tsentralny” (Dnipro) and “Telbin.”

Desnyanskyi district: “Troyeshchyna” (Desenka River) and “Chortoryi” in the “Muromets” park.

Obolonskyi district: “Pushcha-Vodytsia” (5–7 lines) and “Obolon Island.”

Despite the lack of an official announcement about the start of the beach season, municipal services continue to clean the areas, conduct water quality laboratory tests, and inspect places for explosive objects.

The city authorities warn once again: relaxation by the water in Kyiv is possible only at your own risk.

It is also worth noting that Kyiv has seen an increase in apartment prices in new buildings. According to analysts, the average cost per square meter has increased by 6.46% over the past year and currently stands at 53,550 hryvnias.
