Having got a job, they forgot about the CCC: a lawyer explained an unexpected norm for conscripts
In the conditions of general mobilization in Ukraine, every step of a conscript is subject to close attention from the state. This is especially true for those seeking a new job. Is it necessary to personally notify the territorial recruitment and social support center (TCS) about changes? What consequences may there be if such a notification is not received?
Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan notes that conscripts are not obliged to independently notify military registration and enlistment offices about their new employment – the employer should do this.
We are referring to individuals who hold the status of “conscript,” meaning they are not currently undergoing military service, are exempt from mobilization, have not received a summons, and have not undergone a military medical examination. This category raises the most questions, as people are worried that ignorance of the law can lead to negative consequences.
According to Ayvazyan, current legislation requires employers to notify the TCS about employment. This applies to both state institutions and private companies. When a new employee is enrolled in the staff, the employer must enter his data in the register and send this information to the CCC.
Therefore, conscripts do not need to contact military registration and enlistment offices for additional explanations; all necessary data will be sent automatically. They are not required to call, write applications, or bring documents.
It is also important to note that conscripts are not subject to mobilization. They are not required to undergo a military medical examination unless they receive a corresponding summons. Therefore, the fact of employment is not a basis for mobilization or other actions by the CCC.
We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is making changes to the reservation rules that may affect some individuals. Earlier, we also reported on who will not be affected by mobilization this summer, as well as on the rights of mobilized employees regarding dismissal from work.
