Drone attack on Zaporizhia: destroyed houses, cars and humanitarian warehouse

On the night of June 14, Zaporizhia was attacked by Russian military drones. One of the facilities hit was a warehouse with humanitarian aid, where about 100 tons of cargo for displaced people and residents of conflict-affected areas were stored. As a result of the attack, all the cargo was destroyed, and the total damage was estimated at $3 million.

The explosions occurred at around 03:00 after an air raid alert, causing large-scale fires. According to reports, at least five civilian objects were hit, including residential buildings, shops, and public transport stops. In one of the districts, more than ten cars burned down.

The head of the Zaporizhia regional administration, Ivan Fedorov, informed that the shelling also hit other parts of the city and region. In the Zaporizhia district, two police officers and a 62-year-old woman were injured. An 81-year-old woman died in the strike in Rivnepil.

The consequences are ongoing, and emergency services are working to mitigate them. It is known that at least four drones were shot down, which, according to military estimates, were launched at a dangerously low altitude to inflict maximum casualties on the civilian population.

At this time, an air alert regime has been reintroduced in the city and region due to the threat of guided aerial bombs being used.
