”Comet” under threat: Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy drone antenna and explosives production in Russia
On the night of June 14, Ukrainian unmanned systems, in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces, attacked facilities of the Russian military-industrial complex. The targets were enterprises engaged in the production of explosive materials and ammunition.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Samara region, the facilities of JSC “NNK,” one of the key manufacturers of components for explosives, were hit. Explosions and fire were recorded in the industrial zone.
Another strike was carried out on a plant in Nevinnomyssk, Stavropol Territory, which produces key components for ammunition and rocket fuel. Explosions were observed, as well as the activity of the Russian air defense system in the area of the attack, which led to a fire.
The results of the attack are still being clarified. Still, such actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are aimed at weakening Russia’s production capabilities for conducting military operations against Ukraine.
The General Staff stressed that such operations are not new – a similar attack took place on June 9, when Ukrainian drones hit enterprises in Cheboksary that produce navigation equipment for attack drones.
Due to the threat of repeated attacks, Russia has introduced temporary restrictions on the activities of airports in Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, and Tambov.
The General Staff stressed that strikes on Russian facilities that contribute to armed aggression will continue until this aggression is completely stopped.
