PrivatBank updates terms for regular customers: free services will no longer be available
Those who are used to receiving new cards from PrivatBank for free should prepare for changes.
As of January 1, 2026, the country’s largest state-owned bank will introduce a new fee for the delivery of reissued bank cards, applicable to both customers in Ukraine and abroad.
What changes can customers expect?
From the beginning of the new year, reissued cards (due to expiration, loss, or wear) will no longer be available for free. The bank is introducing a fixed fee of 80 hryvnias, including VAT, for the delivery of cards across Ukraine. As before, they can be received through branches or Nova Poshta post offices.
You will need to pay more for international card delivery, and prices will vary depending on the destination. PrivatBank has not yet disclosed specific amounts but notes that there will be no uniform tariffs.
Why was this decision made?
The bank had planned to introduce this fee for a long time, but the launch dates were postponed several times. The official date is now confirmed: on January 1, 2026, card delivery fees will come into effect.
Who will be affected?
This innovation will affect all customers using one of the six categories of payment cards. Regardless of your location, if you order a card with delivery, be prepared for new costs.
How does it work?
The ordering process will remain convenient through the Privat24 application:
Go to the “All cards” section.
Select the desired card.
Go to settings.
Locate the “Order a card” option and select your preferred delivery method.
Within Ukraine, cards will be sent via “Nova Poshta.” International delivery services will be available abroad: “Nova Poshta Global” and “Ukrposhta”.
What does this mean for customers?
PrivatBank is adapting to market conditions. In many countries, banking logistics have long been not free, so innovation may become an additional burden for millions of Ukrainians, particularly for those who live or work abroad.
