Ukrainians should be careful with payments: who should update information in Naftogaz

Gas consumers in Ukraine should update their data in the State Corporation “Naftogaz of Ukraine” system to avoid payment issues. The company’s specialists drew attention to this on social networks.

Current data is necessary for the accurate calculation of gas consumption costs, accessing personal accounts, receiving notifications, and transferring meter readings.

In the event of a mismatch in information, errors in calculations, delays in processing applications, and failures in the accounting system may occur.

Updating data is mandatory in the following cases:

change of surname (after marriage or divorce);
updating of phone number or e-mail;
changing passport identification data;
detecting discrepancies between the data in the account and official documents.
The update process will take only a few minutes. Visit the website www.my.gas.ua, select the “Data Update” section, complete the identification process, and enter the correct information. Naftogaz experts recommend doing this in advance to avoid unforeseen situations in the future.

Earlier, there were reports of erroneous gas bills, as well as new high financial penalties for consumers in the country. Another problem is the over-calculated amounts in payments related to changes in utility systems.
