The State Border Service of the Republic of Ukraine pointed out areas of the border with high activity of mobilization evaders

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine records attempts to leave the country illegally every day. The most significant number of cases has been recorded on the borders with Romania and Moldova.

A spokesperson for the agency, Andriy Demchenko, clarified that many men are trying to cross the border using forged documents or crossing outside official checkpoints. The majority of cases occur in the southern regions, while in Poland, such situations are less frequent.

Demchenko noted that the number of such attempts is not currently increasing, although favorable weather conditions may encourage undocumented immigrants to increase their activity. He also emphasized that attempts to cross the border outside legal points not only violate the law but also pose a significant threat to life, as the weather in mountainous areas remains harsh: high humidity, low temperatures, and strong winds can be fatal.

Over the past three years, more than 60 bodies of men who died while trying to leave Ukraine illegally have been found on this section of the border.
