Hot summer: forecasters predict drought, hail, and heavy rains
Long-term weather forecasts always contain a certain amount of uncertainty. Still, meteorologists are already noting that the temperature in Ukraine in the summer of 2025 will reach high values but will not be as tiring as last year.
According to weather forecasters, June this year is expected to be moderately warm without excessive heat. At the end of the month, showers, squalls, and hail are possible in various regions. Therefore, it is essential to follow the weather forecast, especially when planning trips. The average temperature in June is expected to be within the range of +18 to +23 °C, which is 0.5-1.8 °C higher than usual.
During the summer of 2025, the average temperature is expected to be 1.1-2.5 °C higher than historical indicators. However, abnormal heat is not predicted since there are currently no conditions for its occurrence. July is likely to be the hottest month of the summer, with daytime temperatures exceeding 35 °C and nighttime temperatures not dropping below 20 °C. The average temperature in July will range from 23 to 25 °C, 0.7-2.0°C above normal.
August is also expected to be warm, with temperatures 2.0-2.5°C above normal; however, excessive heat is not anticipated, at least for now.
Many regions of Left-Bank Ukraine may experience a lack of moisture and drought in the summer, which will increase the risk of forest fires and negatively affect the harvest. Watch for weather updates in the summer months.
