PFU will provide a pension according to a simplified scheme: for whom 10 years of experience will be enough
Some citizens of Ukraine may be eligible to retire earlier than the standard term, as noted by the Main Department of the Pension Fund of Ukraine in Transcarpathia.
In 2025, to retire under general conditions, individuals must meet specific requirements regarding insurance experience. Thus, for 60-year-olds, it is necessary to have at least 32 years of work experience; for 63-year-olds, it is between 22 and 32 years; and for 65-year-olds, it is at least 15 years. However, there are also exceptional categories for which special conditions apply.
For example, persons with disabilities of group I with visual impairments, as well as those who received a disability in childhood, may retire early. For them, simpler requirements regarding age and work experience are provided.
According to Article 115 of the Law of Ukraine No. 1058-IV, men with such a disability can apply for a pension at the age of 50, provided they have at least 15 years of contributions to the pension fund. For women, the conditions are even more favorable: they can retire at the age of 40 if they have 10 years of experience.
An application for a pension can be submitted in person or through a legal representative if a person is recognized as incapacitated or has limited capacity. The application is made to the territorial body of the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
Earlier, the issue of a possible significant increase in pensions for Ukrainians was discussed, the details of which remain relevant. The topic of the need to earn more to receive a pension above the minimum level was also raised, and it was noted that some will have to work until old age to receive some support from the state.
