They choose a city and make it a “target”: expert on the new Russian strategy

An analysis of recent attacks by Russian forces shows that the aggressor is actively using specific tactics when shelling Ukraine. In particular, they focus their attention on one city, regularly conducting large-scale strikes against it.

Today, Russia focuses on strikes on individual settlements, using various types of missiles and drones. Analyzing recent air attacks, the expert noted that the main target was Kyiv, while Odesa and Zaporizhia were used as secondary targets.

The expert also emphasized that the long-term intensity of enemy strikes is not stable, as there is a limit on the number of drones, which averages 2,700 per month. This means that the enemy can launch up to 90 drones per day, but this figure is theoretical, as many drones are destroyed even before launch.

Additionally, Romanenko noted that in most cases, the enemy can conduct less intensive attacks, launching from 30 to 50 drones per day. However, it still has the potential for massive attacks, as the Russian army can launch powerful strikes once a week, hitting hundreds of targets.

Recall that the Russians recently launched an attack on Ukraine, launching about 500 missiles and drones. Kyiv was the worst hit, where one of the missiles hit a residential building, causing part of the structure to collapse. As a result of this attack, 19 civilians were killed, and more than 100 were injured.
