Dema presented a track about overcoming inner fears
Dema is making a comeback with a new track, in which she allegorically highlights her sins and silent confrontation with them. On July 4, she took to the stage with the song “Silence” – an ironic story about an internal struggle.
Singer and songwriter Dema presented a new composition, “Silence.” This track marked a significant milestone in her solo career, following her successful duet with Volodymyr Dantes. The song turned out to be more personal and sincere than her previous works.
In “Silence,” Dema reflects on life with internal fears, mistakes, and shadows. She uses the image of the “Last Supper,” where instead of the apostles appear, the personification of human weaknesses. Thus, the singer demonstrates how a person is always in unity with their own “demons” – they conduct an internal dialogue with them or remain silent.
The track has a light and even somewhat dance-like rhythm. But behind this light sound, a deep meaning is hidden – this is the main contrast of the song.
“We all have these inner figures – fears, complexes, desires,” shares Dema. “I imagined that they all got together and started talking, and you just sit and listen – and remain silent. Because sometimes silence is the only way out.”
The single “Silence” is already available on all popular streaming platforms.
It is also worth noting that singer CHEEV recently presented his new song “Once in a Lifetime” – a romantic composition in the style of 80s synth-pop. The release took place before his big concert in Kyiv at the V’YAVA cultural space. The song was first performed in the spring during CHEEV’s solo performance at the International Center for Culture and Arts, becoming a surprise for listeners. Now, the artist has presented the official version along with a mood video.
