A postponement will not save: the CCC can be sent to the VLK even with “armor” – who is under attack

Deferral from mobilization exempts persons subject to military service from passing a military medical commission (MMC). However, there are certain situations in which such persons may be sent for a medical examination.

The issue of whether conscripts can be sent to the MMC during the deferral period prompted one of the country’s residents to contact human rights activists.

According to lawyer Vladislav Derii, “persons who have a valid deferral from military service are not subject to being sent for a medical examination.”

However, the expert noted that there are circumstances in which a citizen may be required to pass a commission, even if they have a deferral in place. This may apply to the following situations:

If a person concludes a contract for military service;

if a conscript was previously recognized as limitedly fit but did not undergo a repeated medical examination to confirm his fitness; in the case when a person has the official status of a disabled person, he is also not sent to the VLK;
if the person himself wishes to undergo a medical examination.
It is worth recalling that all conscripts previously recognized as unfit for mobilization had the opportunity to undergo a repeat VLK examination until June 5 to confirm or change their status regarding fitness for military service. Those who did not do this may face fines ranging from 17 to 51 thousand hryvnias.
