ЗСУ розвіяли страх мобілізації та заспокоїли ухилянтів, запевнивши, що участь у боях не є обов'язковою

The Armed Forces of Ukraine dispelled the fear of mobilization and reassured draft evaders, assuring them that participation in battles is not mandatory

The fear and anxiety society causes the direct negative image of territorial recruitment centers (TCCs) to feel regarding mobilization. The spread of fake news further deepens these experiences. Such thoughts were expressed by Yevhen Karas, commander of the 413th Separate Battalion of Unmanned Systems “Reid”, in an interview.

According to the commander, panic is caused by propaganda messages that create an illusion of threat for people, forcing them to live in constant fear: “This anxiety is intensified by various myths and bravura stories that are put into circulation,” he emphasized.

Karas noted that the majority of those mobilized are ordinary citizens who decided to defend their country. They also feel fear, but understand the importance of their act. He believes that it is worth supporting those who are afraid of going into service.

“If a person feels anxious, they should discuss the possibility of choosing a position that matches their capabilities. Not all units are engaged in combat operations – there are many other roles in the army: analysts, logisticians, technical personnel,” he explained.

Karas also provided examples of specialists who extend communications beyond the front, as well as individuals involved in finance, supply, and other administrative functions. He noted that mobilized people often realize their calling by devoting themselves to units that meet their interests, even if they initially thought of participating in assault operations.

Additionally, the commander discussed common mistakes and uncertainties that often arise during mobilization. Many of the mobilized people adapt to new conditions and find their place in the army structure. “People usually think that everyone will serve only in combat conditions, but there are many positions in the army where you can work in the rear. Many of them do not realize where they have ended up, but are gradually getting into their duties,” Karas concluded.

The commander urged everyone who had not yet taken advantage of the opportunity to serve not to panic and to look for the most suitable position. “The army is a huge structure where everyone can find a place if they come with a desire to be useful,” he concluded.
