Fatal plane crash in Italy: two dead

In Italy, in the province of Brescia, a plane crash occurred, which claimed the lives of two people – the plane crashed right on the road.

On July 22, at lunchtime, near the Corda Molle section between the settlements of Flero and Azzano Mella, an ultralight plane crashed. The aircraft, which took off from Gragnano Trebbies, suddenly fell onto the asphalt and caught fire. Local news agencies confirmed this.

On board the plane were a man and a woman, who could not be saved. The deceased were a 75-year-old lawyer from Milan, Sergio Ravaglia, and a 60-year-old Anna Maria De Stefano, who burned to death on the spot due to an intense fire after hitting the ground.

When the plane fell, it hit several cars – a passenger car and a van, which were driving nearby. The drivers and passengers in these vehicles did not receive serious injuries.

Emergency services, including firefighters and medics, quickly arrived at the scene. The process of extinguishing the fire and clearing the area took several hours, causing significant traffic congestion.

The crash occurred on the Corda Molla motorway, which connects the A4 and A21 motorways. The bodies of the deceased were found among the wreckage in a charred state. Although the plane took off from Gragnano Trebbies, the starting point of the flight has not yet been confirmed. An investigation has been launched to determine the causes of the tragedy and the flight route.

Meanwhile, in the southern city of Caserta, a planned performance by pro-Russian conductor Valery Gergiev at the Royal Palace has been canceled as a result of protests.
